Born and raised in the vibrant capital of Kansas, I grew up in a small family that filled my life with color and creativity. As a small child I knew I wanted to be creative and different. With a father who once boxed professionally and a mother who pioneered a "work from home" consignment business. It was written somewhere; I would be unique and do my "own thing." Both of my folks loved to entertain and create events, so it is literally in my blood. From Professional boxing cards at the Municiple Auditorium to local concerts, including a spotlight on Nashville's own legacy Waylon Payne, son of Sammie Smith and Waylon Jennings Godson. Our shining moment was the recreation of Elvis's Aloha from Hawaii tour, with America's #1 Elvis impersonator Donnie Quinn to the Topeka, Performing Arts Center.
When I turned18, I began modeling and creating my own group of models called The Lookers. For serval years we made appearances at local night clubs, private homes and local race events. During that time, I realized the traditional 9-5 lifestyle was not my path i wished to travel. I didn't care for the confinement of a desk and beige walls. So somewhere in all of that, I partnered with a local businessman and opened a lingerie boutique. After a year of the retail business, we had enough. With a major mall opening across the street from us the shopping center turned into a dust bowl. It was time for changes.
After leaving all of that behind, I moved around to several restaurants as a Host and FOH manager and l quickly fell in love with the culture of the industry. When the local restaurant industry starting to take on more of "big box franchise" vibe I transitioned into the wonderful world of all thing's hair, nails and makeup. Finding my true passion in makeup I perused working as a freelance makeup artist. Providing my services to dozens of brides and several commercial projects, including FOX News, Brett Baire, and my favorite... Tyler Florence with the Food Network. From there I just went with the flow of my life and began creating yet another group of Models called the Women of American Chrome. The Chrome models specialized in appearances in the custom car & bike world. Knocking out several successful fundraisers and dozens of photoshoots It was apparent that it was very limiting and maintaining quality models was nearly impossible. To broaden the opportunities for more diverse runway shows and models. I created Ramp Work Models. By now, Sip & Shop events began to play a major role in my life. Bringing vendors and shoppers together became a new passion for me. I could easily bring all my talents together with these types of events.
So, after several very successful events, and many years of doing what I do, it was time to move on. Fast forward today I find myself starting over. Now living at the Lake of the Ozarks area in the precious little town of Eldon, MO. with my favorite fella of 27 yrs, Mark. Living here has brought us closer to his family and turns out I have a slew of family in this area. So, It really feels like home.
I am now beginning the journey of creating new opportunities and events, with passion, individuality and the fire of days gone by,
Join me in my journey but be prepared for sharp turns and a little craziness along the way. The roads I choose to travel are often twisty much like the roads of the Ozarks.

Here is how it all happened..... the short but sweet version
But wait, there's more

Event Credentials
I have attended several of Joey's events and have always had a great time. I go to a lot of vendor events and never have I been to one where the Host is actively visiting with the shoppers, constantly checking on her vendors to make sure they are comfortable.
Topeka will miss her events. Lake of the Ozark is lucky to have Joey.

Makeup Credentials
My wedding makeup couldn't of been any prettier. Joey created a relaxing environment in the middle of wedding day chaos. Thanks to her I was relaxed and felt like I was the only one in the room. I felt like royalty.
